Hard Fights and Full Coolers
Pound for pound, there is no purely freshwater fish in our lakes that fights as hard as a smallmouth bass. We target this fish from pre-spawn to post-spawn, capitalizing on the most productive bite window for big aggressive fish. Largemouth inhabit the weedier edges of the lakes, targeting these species in the springtime gives us the best chance of encountering both species in similar waters. We practice catch and release when targeting these trophy fish, a quick photo then its back to the spawning grounds.
Panfish is a year-round option known for fantastic tablefare and high limits. During the warmer months, these fish carpet the shorelines offering a mixed bag of rock bass, crappie, yellow perch, bluegill, and more. In the colder months, we target perch in deep water capitalizing on our electronics to find large schools of these delicious fish. A favorite in the pan and often touted as one of the most delicious whitefish in freshwater, winter fishing for these swimming tacos can be electric and fill a cooler fast! Perch have no limit and fast action, making them a great option for kids! Ask about a perch/trout combo!
